Sigma discount code, Recent summer eye makeup looks, and an announcement

I felt too creative last month with my makeup. And the fact I got my new CS 88 palette, made it even more intense! A lot of people wanted to see some looks I did with it, and I DID played with it a lot! :) I took pictures of some of the eye looks I did last month and did a little collage of 6 summer eye makeup looks I did during the last month. I may do this every month. Let me know if you like this idea :)
1. This look was made with Sleek and UD palettes. The soft olive green matches my eye color, and the bronzy brown around it made it look more summery!
2. This look was created with Sleek Acid palette. I LOVE neons and they are very popular this summer.
3. Again bronzy brown and a little bit of gold, to give that hot summery touch, and teal-blue liner on the top and waterline, reminds me of the ocean and the sand. I added teal blue mascara on the bottom lashes for this fun twist that finishes the look!
4. This look was made only with my new CS 88 Original palette! I used the soft pastel colors, and a white pencil on the waterline. Great for summer morning!
5. Sometimes less is more. Especially for summer. That means in the morning less makeup, and for an evening or a night out, just one color all over the lid, creates that smokey effect! You want to use colorful colors instead of darker natural ones like grays, browns or blacks, like you would for winter and fall. I used a cranberry color from the CS 88 palette, and lined my water line with a black liker for extra definition.
6. Summer color! Created with the CS 88 palette, again. Yellow on the center of the lid, and a grass green around it. A fun way to place the eyeshadows on your lid!

Which one do YOU like the most? :)

And now for a different subject. As in every month, Sigma has a special coupon code for a 10% OFF your entire purchase! And again, I would love to share it with my lovely readers! ^_^ The code is AP2012, and is valid starting July 1st, through July 31. Click the image below starting tomorrow, to use it, and enjoy!

Another thing I wanted to tell you is that me and Alex are heading to Montreal on Monday, for the week. We are going to stay there 'till Thursday, so I won't post on the blog 'till then. But I will be sure to take pictures there, to show you in a post when I'll come back! :)

Hope you had a great month of June, and enjoy your July! :)
xoxo,
Tina.

OOTD: Sunglasses

Finally it's HOT here in Canada! But unfortunately, not for long.. They say it will rain for the next few days again!.. But if it's a sunny day outside, Tina is outside also! :) I LOVE summer and I love when it's hot! So I've managed to take advantage of this warm sunny day and take a walk and take those pictures for my outfit of the day.

My mom sent me this shirt about two months ago and I absolutely loved it! My mom clearly has a GREAT sense of style and she knows exactly the colors I like, too! ;) This is the first time I'm wearing it. I wore my sunglasses necklace to match the shirt, and Alex's sunglasses :P Since it was really hot outside, I wore some jeans shorts, and my little heel sandals that matched the bright orangy-coral of the shirt, and the blue of the shorts. Because of the bright color of the shirt, I wanted to keep it simple for the makeup, and did a bright lip to match, and just a black little liner on the eyes.

Apothica, SkinCareRX and Skinbotanica Finds

You've already heard me talking about these online stores previously on my sponsored giveaway. I really like those sites because of the great range of different products they have. Also I was very surprised by their great service! The products I've ordered last time arrived in a very short time, they have included 2 free samples with the package I've ordered, and they even sent me a nice e-mail afterwards saying they hope I am enjoying the products and asking if I have any compliments and suggestions! So every once in a while I like to go there and browse different things. As the sites are so big with such a big variety of products and search options (by brand, by name, by price, by function, skin type etc.) I always find new interesting things I like!
In this post I wanted to share with you the latest cool goodies I've found on each of those sites! :)

SkinCareRX- Badger balms! When I first saw it on this site I thought there's no way it really works. But after reading reviews from other people on line I've read many good things about it! They have a great range of different kinds of balms, such as Anti-Bug balm, Cheerful mind balm, Balm for hardworking hands, Sleep balm, Foot balm, Stress soother, and my favorite: Headache Soother! How cool is that?? How many times did you had a headache and couldn't get rid of it in any way, and eventually had to take a medicine for it? And we all know it's not that good to take all of these medicines, especially for such a silly thing as a headache.. And It's all made of natural ingredients! Have to try this one!
Apothica- Deborah Lippmann nail polishes! They have such a great range of interesting colors and textures! And I like how many of the polishes have like sparkles and things inside :)

Skinbotanica- Pharmacopia body washes. This brand has a line of organic body washes in different scents. My favorite? Lavander! :)

CS 88 Original Eyeshadow Palette

If you have read my wishlist post, then you already know why I wanted this palette so much, and why I got it just now. I finally purchased it! :) I have to say the shipping time was great. I got it exactly one week after I've ordered it online from Coastal Scents. (Which is 5 business days if you won't count the weekend). They also included a free sample of "Fairy Wings" loose eyeshadow with the package. :) I really like the palette and I see now why so many people have talked about it so much on the internet. The pigmentation of the colors is great! I've swatched some of them without any base and the colors are very vibrant. I also like the fact that in this original palette you  have a variety of different textures and finishes of eyeshadows. And let's not forget of course the fact it is so cheap! Can't wait to play with it! I feel like just trying an eye look, then washing it off, then trying another one, and so on, while just staying at home :P

Out of the packaging (The palette itself)

In this picture I've swatched only few of the colors, just so you can see how pigmented they are

OOTD: Bows

I really like this bows shirt. I like the material it's made of, so light weight. And I also like the design which is long at the back. I've matched it with a really cute bow necklace, my black skinny pants which go pretty much with everything, because  it's so classy, and my favorite wedges! Seriously, I don't think I've liked shoes so much ever! My mom got those for me a few years ago for my school graduation ceremony, and at that time they were pretty expensive, but I REALLY loved them, so she got them for me as a gift (for what I'm SO grateful! Love you, mom <3). Since then, I've seen them only online, but if I could buy them in a store ('couse I don't like to buy shoes online..), I would probably buy it in like 5 more colors!

Overall, the versatile shirt, classic black pants and wedges, turned out as an elegant look. I tied my hair back to complete the look, and  for the makeup, I went with neutral colors on the lid, with a pop of color under the lower lash line, and we went out with Alex for a little trip to the center of the city. I'm not that of a high heels person, or even wedges (I mean, I REALLY like how it looks and I think it makes every women even more feminine looking and gentle, but I just can't walk too long with them, until my legs starting to get sore..), But these wedges are very soft and comfortable, and probably the only ones I can actually go for a walk in..

Chocolate Chip Cookies Recipe

I have found this recipe for basic chocolate chip cookies online, changed it a little, and from that day on my brother in law won't leave me alone asking me to make them over and over again. (problem is, they last only one day before everybody eats them X_X). Alex doesn't really likes baked stuff (I know. Crazy.) and even HE really liked those cookies! So that's a good sign :)
Usually I do them with dark chocolate chips, but this time I've decided to try it with milk chocolate chips. Which turned out not bad at all, too!
It is really easy to do and takes no longer than 15 minutes from the minute you're starting making them, until you place them in the oven.
I have decided to share this recipe with my lovely readres. You have to try these! Let me know if you did, and how it turned out. I'd love to hear! :)

Ingredients:
2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
250 ml unsalted butter, melted
1 1/4 cups lightly packed brown/yellow sugar
1 egg
1 1/2 tsp vanilla
300 ml chocolate chips

Directions:
* Preheat oven to 350F (180C). Lightly spray a baking sheet with oil.
* In a medium bowl, use a fork to stir flour with baking soda and salt.
* In a large bowl, using a wooden spoon or an electric mixer, beat butter with sugar until creamy, about 1 min. Beat in egg and vanilla.
* Gradually stir flour mixture into butter mixture, until just combined.
* Mix in the chocolate chips.
* Scoop about 1 tbsp of dough on the baking sheet. Repeat with remaining dough, placing about 1 inch apart.
* Bake in the center of the oven for about 10 minutes, or until the cookies are golden around the edges.
* Let cookies cool down before serving.

Enjoy! :)

Mail Haul!

I have ordered a Sigma brush belt two weeks ago, and also got a gift certificate from my new sponsor, Apothica, last week, and I've ordered some cute little things. Today I got both of the orders by mail and was so exited to finally get them! :) Also, I got this Sally Hansen Smooth and Perfect nail polish in No 07 - "Sea".
Now that I'm on my way to get a professional makeup artist diploma, and am working as a MUA, I NEEDED a brush belt. It is so much more comfortable to have all of your brushes on your waist and not having to run and get the brush you need each time from the table. It's also making your work harder, wasting time and definitely looks unprofessional.
All of the brush belts I've seen on the market, including some high end stores like Sephora, were pretty expensive. Sigma had them for only 29$, and now they're on sale, so you can get them for only 24$! So I had to get one, considering the great price opportunity and the fact I LOVE Sigma! :) They have the brush belts in black and in pink. It has a variety of pocket sizes that can hold up to 50+ brushes (!) You can wear it on your waist, make the handle long and wear it over the shoulder, and even use it as a brush case by simply folding it in two. I LOVE IT! ^_^
The Apothica package came in a large box, (very quickly), with lots of materials to keep the fragile products from braking. They also included 2 free samples! One of an AHAVA anti wrinkles face cream (which I gave to my mother in law) and one of a NUXE Paris anti-oxidant moisturizing cream :) Can't wait to use all those things!
Enjoy the photos and have a wonderful week! <3

Sally Hansen Smooth and Perfect in "Sea"
A little bit disappointed by the formula.. Three coats came out pretty sheer
Sigma Makeup Pro black brush belt
Lollia shea butter handcreme and Essie nail polish in "Blanc", from Apothica

OOTD: Light Sun

Today I've decided to go light. I wanted to use as little makeup, and as lighter colors as possible.
Therefore, I went with a very neutral eye makeup that includes skin color eye shadow all over the lid, a little soft brown on the crease and mascara. On the cheeks I used more blush than I normally would, in a rosy pink color, and same color lipstick. Altogether it created an innocent young look.
On my nails, I'm wearing a nude color nail polish, matching my top. I paired it with a thin white open top, white ballet flats and light jeans.

I wanted a light colored jeans for a long time because I've seen my moms photo in this kind of jeans from the 90's, only her's were high waisted. Once I've decided I want ones for myself, It was pretty hard to find. But then, a few months ago it really got into fashion and so I've seen many different kinds of light jeans, and finally bought those from Pull And Bear. I really like them!
